1. Answer the following question:

“What do you say to yourself when you’re feeling really confident?”

Say this more!

2. Change your body language to a confident pose –  recommends Harvard psychologist Amy Cuddy.

How? Stand up straight. Push your shoulders back. Widen your stance. Hold this pose for 2 minutes.

Or think about someone you think is very confident, then imitate their posture.

3. Put on some perfume or cologne that you love.

study reported that 90% of all subjects involved in a fragrance research test reported feeling more confident when they wore fragrance versus to when they did not.

The scent of Vanilla essential oil has also been reported to help people feel calm and confident.

4. Pour yourself a Cockytale.

Reminder yourself of a time that you slamdunked a project or won an award. I write more about Cockytales in an article here.

5. Meditate.

Consistently studies report that meditation helps light up part of the brain which help people to feel more calm, balanced and confident.

6. Listen to uplifting music.  

A study done at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University reported that bass-heavy music in particular can make you feel more confident.

I personally have always felt much bolder and courageous after listening to “We will rock you” by Queen! As it turns out, this song was listed in the study as making people feel more confident.

7. Read positive building things!
