Urban Driving: 8 Cars That Won’t Leave You Hanging

Urban Driving: 8 Cars That Won’t Leave You HangingSome drivers see TV commercials with vehicles bouncing over rugged mountain trails and think that looks like fun. In reality, though, most will stay mainly in urban environments. Because of this, they need vehicles suited for city driving.

If you’re looking at used cars, New Braunfels residents, then you might consider one of the ones on this list. They are all reliable choices for the urban explorer.

The Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper is a great choice for someone living in the city. It is nimble, so you can easily park it in narrow spaces you might run into either in parking lots or on the street.

The inside has a surprising amount of room, though. This is also one option that won’t break the bank.

The Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Corolla has been an urban staple for decades. It’s a midsize sedan that you can easily pass down to your teen driver when they come of age.

It has reliable handling and compact size. The comfortable interior and fuel efficiency are what really make it a winner, though.

The Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is another city option that has made a splash in the automotive market since it first debuted. The hybrid powertrain and compact design make it a worthy choice.

The Prius also features advanced technology, which appeals to some drivers. The minimal running costs don’t hurt, either.

The Mazda 3

The Mazda 3 is great for urban drivers as well. It has agile handling matched with a compact size.

You can maneuver it into and out of heavy traffic with ease. It also features low maintenance costs and excellent fuel efficiency.

The Subaru Impreza

The Subaru Impreza is quite affordable, which is a good place to start for city drivers. It has an AWD system, a boxer engine, and a compact design.

The fuel efficiency is a fine feature, as is the reputation for reliability. The low maintenance costs are something else that many owners mention frequently.

The Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai has done very well in urban markets over the past two decades. The Elantra is one of the line’s flagship vehicles. You can get it as a gas-powered car, but the hybrid will get you much better gas mileage

The latest versions come with a lot of impressive safety features as well, such as blind spot alert and forward collision warning.

The BMW 2 Series

The BMW 2 series is another top contender if you want a smaller vehicle that does well in urban environments. It is compact and lightweight.

It also has some of the most responsive steering of any vehicle on this list. The engine is not overly powerful, but it is efficient.

The Honda Civic

The Honda Civic also belongs on this list. It has fantastic fuel efficiency and a compact size. The responsible steering coupled with zippy handling are also features that the buying public raves about.

You would do well with any of these choices living in the inner city.
