1. Utilize Vertical Storage Solutions

Interior design tips for small spaces can often feel overwhelming. When considering creative storage solutions, homeowners should consider utilizing vertical storage solutions to maximize floor space. This tip can go a long way in cramped or cluttered rooms. If possible, mount shelves to the walls wherever space permits.

This can provide areas for often-used items like books, textbooks, magazines, board games, and toys. To create a decorative and organized space, arrange items by color, style, and subject matter. For additional storage, try a hanging clothes rack that can be placed behind doors.

2. How to Make the Most of Compact Rooms

Aim to use slender pieces such as wall-mounted shelves, corner units, and space-saving furniture such as daybeds. Not only this but areas such as the ceiling and wall space should be considered for additional storage options. Mirrored furniture also provides the illusion of more space.

Multi-functional furniture, such as ottomans that open up for hidden storage, is another great way to make the most of compact rooms while adding a touch of style. In addition, carefully planned lighting will highlight space and offer a brighter atmosphere.

3. Incorporating Mirrors to Brighten Up the Room

Mirrors reflect light, making the space appear to have more natural and artificial light which will give the area a much brighter and larger feel. Try to place the mirrors near windows or directly opposite lights to maximize brightness.

Also, try hanging mirrors adjacent to each other to make a very powerful light-amplifying effect. Try to use large mirrors to create the illusion of greater space, but be sure to leave at least 6 inches between the mirror and the wall to create a more polished look.

4. Investing in Art Frames

Small spaces are difficult to decorate, but investing in art frames can be a great interior design tip. Art frames can be used in many different ways to creatively maximize the space in a smaller room. By hanging a collection of art frames on the wall, you can efficiently and colorfully fill up the space without overwhelming it.

For example, mixing framed pieces of various shapes and colors from pictureperfectartframing.com can also create a unique and interesting look. Taking into consideration the height of the frames is important to make sure it fits within the desired space.

Investing in art frames gives you the flexibility to add as many pieces as you like to any room, transforming it visually without taking up much space. Plus if you’re looking for beautiful art check out my Instant Wall Art collection!
