If you’re striving to make money and succeed, then you will love these 5 habits of successful people.
Aristotle once said that excellence is what we repeatedly do and not a single act.
Habits then are like yarns of thread that form the fabric of our lives.
Many famous quotes and philosophies suggest that someone’s habits – and nothing else – differentiate successful people from those who fail.
Studies also report: habits dictate about 95% of a person’s actions. So you need to become aware of your most consistent habits, and do your best to improve upon them.
As you might know, I’m a bestselling author and happiness researcher.
I wrote a book called Happy Habits.
In my research, I learned that you can boost your success and happiness by building up specific positive habits- and busting those naughty ones. In this article I’ll be focusing on the habits of successful people.
5 Habits of Successful People
Here are five powerful practices and habits of successful people – which you should try to make your regular rituals.
1. Organization
Successful people believe in the judicious use of time, money, and brainpower.
Being an organized person helps them to remove all forms of distraction and increase their productivity.
For example…
If you arrange your office and home space in an organized way, you will be better able to function – because you won’t be thrown off course by not being able to find important items.
An organized attitude also reflects in your business culture (if you’re a business owner). You can make good use of tools such as a chat on your website to make your customer service as seamless and memorable as possible.
2. Proactivity
One hallmark of successful people is their ability to take initiative and act sooner and appropriately to an assignment, problem, need or request.
Successful people have an unmatched sense of urgency towards life, work, and even relationships.
They don’t wait for issues to arise to take care of something. They proactively take care of things – so issues don’t need to arise.
A successful person wants to get done with one activity and quickly move on to the next. And a successful person hardly procrastinates. Being proactive is one of the best steps you can take towards success and it helps you to accomplish tasks on time and avoid issues.
3. Early risers
Many accomplished people make it a habit to wake up early enough to make sure their day begins with a nice advantageous head start.
Being an early riser enables you to achieve more and develop good habits such as planning your day, meditating, reading books, working on personal projects, or exercising.
Successful people make it a habit to wake up early to do a few things they love (to start with a happy spirit) and a few things they know are important (to create a sense of accomplishment). In general, being an early riser is a key trait needed for living a life you love.
4. Avid readers
Avid reading plays a role in making yourself successful.
Self-education or self-improvement comes through reading.
About 9 out of every 10 affluent respondents to a survey say they apportion not less than 30 minutes each day to do some studying.
Warren Buffet refers to “reading books” as the most crucial habit he has developed.
Biographies, history, journals, articles, and self-help books are examples of resourceful material you can spend time reading.

5. Self-care
Successful people don’t only take care of others but also take care of themselves. They may do some yoga, workout, go for a hike or play golf.
They understand the saying that “a sound mind lives in a healthy body.”
As you aim yourself towards success, remember to make your emotional and physical health a priority.
Although you may love to really work hard, you should still squeeze in some time to relax and “blow off some steam” – as necessary for your well-being.
For example, Elon Musk, the successful business owner, considers showering an essential activity in his day because it refreshes him and helps him cope with the daily stress. You can take Elon’s showering tip one step further – and do a relaxing shower meditation while you’re showering.
