ConvertKit Honest Review: Is It Worth The Money?

ConvertKit Honest Review: Is It Worth The Money?Coming up I will explain the pros and cons of Convertkit and give you a completely honest review, letting you know if I think it’s worth the money…or not!

If you’re an entrepreneur, author, consultant, influencer or online business owner, email marketing is an essential tool for building relationships with potential buyers and growing your income.

And so I did a lot of research on choosing the right emailing service.

In the early days, I used Mailchimp and later upgraded to Infusionsoft.

Unfortunately, Mailchimp didn’t have enough bells and whistles. And infusionsoft had so many functionalities that I re-named it “Confusion-soft.” It was very confusing to use.

In the end I wound up using Convertkit for my own emailing needs.

Below I will share about my personal experience using Convertkit and give you my honest review about whether it’s worth the money.

If you’re new to my work, hi there. I’m a multi-bestselling entrepreneur, with about 2 million books and courses sold globally.

I’ve spent about 2 decades studying and practicing various marketing strategies to learn which are the most effective marketing tools for today’s competitive marketplace.

I also created a bestselling program to help entrepreneurs make money online called “Make Profitable Courses Without The Overwhelm.”

So without further ado, here is….

My honest review of Convertkit

As a branding and marketing expert, I’ve had my fair share of experience with various email marketing tools.

As mentioned above, in the early days, I used Mailchimp and later upgraded to Infusionsoft. While Infusionsoft is a powerful tool, I found it complex and expensive. And I really wanted something far more user-friendly. That’s when I discovered ConvertKit.

When I made the move to ConvertKit, I was a bit nervous about transferring my email list from Infusionsoft. However, the ConvertKit team proved to be extremely helpful and made the transition smooth and easy. They helped me set up sequences, taught me the basics, and answered all my questions. Thanks to their friendly and knowledgeable support, I was up and running in no time.

What Is ConvertKit and How Does It Work?

ConvertKit is an email marketing tool designed specifically for content creators, including professional bloggers, writers, influencers and course creators.

It helps you build landing pages, grow your email list, and sell products and services over email.

Think of it as a cross between Infusionsoft and Mailchimp, but more affordable and easier to use.

Here’s a breakdown of what I love most about ConvertKit:

The Pros of ConvertKit

Simple and User-Friendly Interface:

ConvertKit’s user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, making it simple to set up email campaigns and automation sequences.

Powerful Automation Features:

ConvertKit’s automation features are incredibly robust, allowing you to create complex automation sequences to nurture leads and build relationships with your subscribers.

Flexible Email List Management:

ConvertKit makes it easy to segment your email list based on subscriber activity, interests, and other factors, allowing you to send targeted messages to specific groups of subscribers.

Beautiful and Easy-to-Use Templates:

With ConvertKit, you don’t need to be a design expert to create beautiful and effective email templates. The platform offers a variety of pre-designed templates to choose from, making it easy to create professional-looking emails that match your brand’s aesthetic. Plus, the drag-and-drop editor allows you to customize the templates, so your emails really look great and stand out.

Easy-to-understand Analytics:

One of the most important aspects of email marketing is tracking the performance of your emails. With ConvertKit, you have access to easy-to-understand analytics that show you which emails are performing the best, which headlines are getting the most opens, and which links are being clicked the most. You can also conduct A/B tests to see which subject lines or email designs are resonating with your audience.

Landing Pages and Forms:

ConvertKit provides several customizable landing page and form templates, which you can use to grow your email list and promote your products and services.

Excellent Customer Support:

ConvertKit has a friendly and responsive customer support team, which can help you with any issues or questions you have.

Advanced Automation:

They offer advanced automation features that allow users to set up complex sequences and rules to automate their email marketing efforts. This can save a lot of time and effort in managing email lists and campaigns.

Integrations:

ConvertKit integrates with a wide range of third-party tools, including ecommerce platforms, landing page builders, and payment gateways. This allows users to easily integrate ConvertKit with their existing tools and workflows.

Deliverability:

ConvertKit places a strong emphasis on deliverability, ensuring that emails reach their intended recipients’ inboxes. This is critical for successful email marketing campaigns.

Creator Community:

ConvertKit has a thriving community of content creators, bloggers, and entrepreneurs who use the platform. This provides an opportunity for users to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from one another, and potentially collaborate on projects.

Free trial and easy starter plans:

ConvertKit offers a free trial so you can test it out before making any commitments. After that, the basic plan starts at around $29 per month, while the creator pro version (which I use) starts at $59 per month and goes up with the size of your email list. So, keep in mind that as your list grows, so will the costs.

The Cons of ConvertKit

  • Price: Compared to other email marketing tools like Mailchimp, ConvertKit can be more expensive if you have a big email list  However, I believe that the features and benefits far outweigh the extra cost. And that you earn back this extra money with more sales!

A Day In The Life of A Convert User (My Experience)

One of the things I love most about ConvertKit is its ease of use. You don’t need to be a tech genius to create professional-looking landing pages or email sequences. Plus, ConvertKit’s intuitive drag-and-drop visual editor and automation features make creating targeted campaigns a breeze.

Using ConvertKit, I can quickly create a form or a landing page to gather email subscribers, and I love the flexibility to change the look and feel of these forms to match my website design. ConvertKit also allows me to send targeted broadcasts and automated sequences, so my subscribers are getting the right message at the right time.

I also use ConvertKit to promote my blog posts and track my subscriber growth, thanks to their excellent analytics dashboard. I can quickly see which landing pages and content upgrades are performing the best, and I can use this information to improve my email marketing strategy.

Another feature I love about ConvertKit is its ability to deliver content upgrades, which is a great way to grow your email list faster. I can offer readers a free bonus like a book chapter, worksheet, or video in exchange for their email address, and ConvertKit will deliver it automatically to their inbox.

Is ConvertKit Worth the Money?

ConvertKit is not the cheapest email marketing tool out there. But it’s well worth the money. While it may be more expensive than other email marketing tools, the automation features, landing pages, and flexible email list management make it worth the cost.

In Conclusion: My honest review of Convertkit
