Unique Ideas For A Picture-Perfect Wedding Day

Unique Ideas For A Picture-Perfect Wedding DayWhen you think about it, your wedding day is one of the most photographed days of your whole life, so why not make it truly unforgettable? With some creativity and planning – which is always so important when it comes to your wedding – you can end up creating a wedding celebration that looks just as magical in photos as it did in real life.

With that in mind, here are some unique ideas for a picture-perfect wedding day. Read on to find out more.

Choose A Photogenic, Picture-Perfect Wedding Venue

The backdrop of your wedding plays a massive role in how your photos are going to turn out, so you’ll want to choose a wedding venue that looks fantastic and that you know is going to work well in all your photos, whether it’s before, during, or after the ceremony itself. You could pick a gorgeous stately home or a beautiful garden – or anything else because when it comes to picking a wedding venue, you’ve got more choice now than ever before.

If you’re looking for something really unique, you’ll need to visit your shortlist and make a list of the things you’d really love to have, like big, sweeping staircases, water features, stunning views, and so on. Plus, even if you’re not a photographer it’s wise to think about the lighting, because even the most gorgeous venue won’t look great if the lighting isn’t right.

Include A Dramatic Entrance

Your walk down the aisle is sure to be one of the biggest and most emotional moments of the day, so you should try to make it as memorable as possible – that way, you’ll get some great photos (and video, come to that), and you’ll remember it even more fondly as the years go by.

There are various things you can do to make this happen, of course. If you’re having an outdoor wedding, think about lining the aisle with candles, petals, or perhaps some lanterns, for example, and if you’re indoors, you could go big and bold with a mirrored aisle or some massive floral displays. And don’t forget about transportation either because that can all be part of your grand entrance; arriving in a vintage car, horse-drawn carriage, or a boat (if it makes sense!) are going to give you the chance to have some amazing photos taken.

Plan For Golden Hour Picture-Perfect Photos

Golden hour – the hour before sunset, in other words – is a photographer’s dream because the soft, warm lighting make a stunning and very romantic glow that artificial lights just can’t match. That’s why it’s important to work with your photographer and perhaps your wedding planner if you’ve got one to ensure you’ve saved some time for photos during this golden hour – that way, you can really make the most of the natural light.

Plus, this can be a good chance to take a bit of a break from your reception and spend some time with your new spouse (and the photographer), so it’s something that can leave you with lasting memories but also help you feel less overwhelmed by everything that’s going on around you.

Dress To Impress

Unique Ideas For A Picture-Perfect Wedding DayIf you want to look stunning in your photos, your clothes are going to be hugely important, which is why it’s important to choose outfits that make you feel amazing. For the bride, you could have unique elements to the dress like big, dramatic sleeves or an unusual color, for example (or what if you didn’t wear a dress at all and chose a suit? Why not?). For the groom, you’ll want some sharp tailoring and add some accessories that really stand out, like a tie, cravat, pocket square, or buckle, for example.

And when it comes to the rest of your guests, it’s good to encourage them to dress up too if you want them to be in your photos – put a dress code on the invitations so everyone knows what’s expected of them, and for a really lovely effect, ask everyone to wear a specific color – even if it’s just a small part of their outfit, it’s a great way to tie everything together.

End With A Magical Send-Off

Your send-off is one of the most exciting moments of the day, so make it memorable! Sparklers are a classic choice, but you can also have glow sticks, bubbles, lanterns, biodegradable confetti, and other lovely ideas. Your guests can launch it all at you as you leave the venue, and the photos you get from that moment can be gorgeous.

Plus, if you’re feeling a little brave, decorate your car with ‘just married’ signs and that last shot of you driving away to your new married life is one you’ll want to keep forever
