Having a bath when it’s chilly outside is a great way to warm up and unwind, and by adding magnesium to this you’re taking your relaxation to a whole new level.
Finding time to relax during the busy festive season is essential! Running around organising everything you need for Christmas can be quite stressful, which is why it’s important to take some time for yourself during this period too. What better way to do this than by taking a bath with the added benefits of magnesium?
2. Improves your mood
Low mood is very common during winter. Due to a lack of vitamin D amongst other things, many people often find themselves feeling more blue during this time. Magnesium is linked to the regulation of serotonin, meaning a deficiency in it could possibly impact your mood and increase those feelings of winter blues.
This is why ensuring your body has enough magnesium is crucial. If you’re feeling blue this winter why not run a bath and add 2-4 cups of magnesium flakes to it? Cocooning yourself in warm water has also been shown to help improve mental wellbeing due to the comforting warmth on your skin giving a response similar to the endorphin release from exercise.

The harsh winter air can really dry out your skin, especially if you have dry skin already. One way to help this is to provide your body with the essential skin minerals it needs. Magnesium has been found to help with cell regeneration and skin hydration, which is great for winter skin.
