5 Essential Factors To Consider When Choosing a Brand Agency

5 Essential Factors To Consider When Choosing a Brand AgencyChoosing a brand agency is not an easy task. You should consider many factors when choosing one, and the following five will help make your decision much easier.

As you might know, I started my career working in New York’s top ad and marketing agencies – rising up quickly to Senior VP.

But then I quit in my late twenties (to my parent’s horror) to pursue becoming a (hoped for) bestselling author.

Plus I wanted to help people – in a more personal way – as a branding and marketing consultant. Thankfully, my career plan/dream worked out! Now I love to help people to understand how to effectively market and brand whatever they’re selling – which is why I wrote this article on factors to consider when choosing a branding agency!

5 Essential Factors To Consider When Choosing a Brand Agency

1. Versatility

The most important factor to consider when choosing your brand design agency partner is their versatility. A good agency should create a stunning campaign and then turn it around with an amazing product presentation.

This may seem like common sense, but some agencies will focus on one area of marketing or branding while neglecting others. Make sure you find someone who can do it all from logos and packaging design, social media and SEO strategy, content creation for blogs, videos, and websites- the list goes on!

Below  is a list of just a few sample capabilities so you get an idea of what’s out there:

  • Social Media Strategy – Developing strategies that drive engagement across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc., posting relevant content and building relationships with key influencers.
  • Advertising Campaigns – Working closely with clients on creative concepts, developing a strategic plan for the campaign rollout.
  • Branding & Identity Design – Creating brand identity systems that elegantly represent a company’s personality.

2. Portfolio and Experience

When looking for a brand agency, one of the most important things to consider is their portfolio and experience. Besides, a good fit will help your brand stand out from the competition. It’s not enough that they have done branding projects before – what do they specialize in? How many years has this company been around? What kind of success rate do they have with clients like you?

What You Can Do:

-Look at specific cases where the company helped brands achieve goals and objectives. It may be worth investing in an agency whose methods will stay relevant over time.

-If you can’t find any case studies on them, ask for some! This shouldn’t be an unreasonable request.

-Check out the company’s website, and look for testimonials from current or past clients to find out what their experience was like with them.

3. Creativity

Creativity is a crucial factor when considering which agency to work with. Creative agencies can bring innovative and creative ideas, helping companies reach new heights in their respective fields. The best way to find out how an agency will operate is by checking their portfolio and seeing what they have done for previous clients. If the company has never worked on anything similar before, this may not be a good fit because it’s difficult for them to adapt quickly, given that they’re less familiar with your type of industry.

A creative team can tap into different sources of inspiration, such as pop culture or iconic celebrities, and use these references strategically throughout design projects. It’s crucial, though, that creativity does not come at the cost of functionality and efficiency.

3. Work Process

Many agencies will tell you that they’re diverse, but the reality is that most specialize in one or two areas. So, make sure to ask about their work process and what kind of projects they typically complete before you sign on with someone.

4. Client Review and Feedback

Client reviews and feedback help you to understand how well the agency has performed in past work, as well as what they will likely do for your project.

Reviewing an agency’s social media channels can also give a good indication of their professionalism and if they can create content that fits your brand’s needs.

Areas such as responsiveness, creativity, overall quality, cost-effectiveness, and turnaround time need consideration when reviewing agencies online.

Conclusion on Brand Agencies

In conclusion, these are the five essential factors to consider when choosing a brand agency. The most crucial factor is understanding what you need and matching it with a company that can provide those services for you. A successful collaboration between client and company will ensure success in branding, marketing, and design endeavors.
