5 Easy Self-Care Rituals To Add To Your Life To Help You Feel CalmerRead on to learn how to feel calmer with these easy self care rituals.

It can be so hard to find the time to look after yourself these days.

Whether it is the daily commute grinding you down – or you’re being pulled this way and that by family commitments and your work schedule!

But it’s important to mindfully nourish and nurture yourself, because self care is giving the world the best of you.

No worries! I’m here to help with this short and effective self care guide!

5 Self Care Rituals To Feel Calmer

Below are 5 easy self care rituals to help you to take care of yourself today.

1: Get some fresh air

Research into the benefits of fresh air and sunlight shows that just a short stroll outside can improve your energy, mood and ability to sleep well each night.

While a sunny, crisp day in a beautiful setting is always going to be the ideal, any walk and any fresh air is going to make a difference to both your body and your mind.

Take in the sights and sounds around you or just mull over your day. The fresh air helps to bring everything into perspective.

2: Focus on supplements

We all know that eating well and exercising regularly are the keys to a happy and healthy body and mind.

If you are struggling to make time for these things, then take a moment to focus on your supplements.

There are a huge range out there to give you a much-needed boost, whether that be from an online pharmacy or in store.

Here are some of the supplements I recommend most – especially if you’re feeling stressed.

3: Spend time with friends

We all have those friends in our lives that will perk us up and make us smile. Connecting with others is one of the most powerful ways that you can spend a few moments of your time.

So go grab that coffee or just give a friend a call. It can really lift you and make you feel like you have taken a break – no matter how short on time you are.

4: Do 2 Minute Sensory Meditations

Got 2 minutes to relax?

Try one of my simple and effective 2 minute sensory meditations – from my book Instant Calm!

I share a range of easy  one-pointed meditations – where you focus on one of your 5 senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, taste) for 2 minutes – in a way that calms you and grounds you.

These tools are recommended by doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, yoga teachers etc – and are sometimes referred to as “grounding tools” because they help you to feel more grounded.

5: Do that ‘never fails’ mood-booster

calming tipsWe all have one go-to self care ritual – and it’s different for us all.

  • Is yours dancing around your kitchen?
  • Getting sweaty on your bike?
  • Curling up with a good book?
  • Perhaps you sing your heart out to your favorite musical or soak in a deep bubble bath?
  • Or maybe it’s lounging on the couch with the latest blockbuster or Netflix hit?

Whatever it is, make the time to indulge in it whenever you can!

It is good for the soul to do something that you love… just because.
