Here are 7 inspiring aging quotes – which will make you feel happier about getting older!
Research states that having a positive attitude about aging can actually be good for your health!
In particular…a 2002 study by Yale University researchers reported that seniors with a positive attitude about aging wound up living 7.5 years longer than those who had a negative view on aging.
Researchers believed that older folks who saw themselves as “a burden to others” wound up experiencing depression and social isolation. These negative beliefs on aging then became “silent killers” for those seniors.
Happily, there’s now something called “The Positive Aging Movement”!
“The Positive Aging Movement” is when you…
- enjoy a positive and optimistic mindset about growing older.
- see your later years as offering up an enjoyable part of life.
- are passionate to live fully no matter your age – trying to stay social and active for as long as you can.
