7 Proven Tips to Become a Better, Stronger Person

1. Start hitting the gym

Lack of physical activity can have a bad effect on your overall health. Studies around the world prove that the sedentary lifestyle we have adopted in this modern age disturbs our physical and mental health.

A simple thing you can do to add healthy physical activity to your life is going to the gym. You can set up a gym in your home if you don’t want to go outside.

However, it’s recommended that you join a local gym in your area. Setting some time in your daily routine for exercise will help you develop a better schedule. You will also be able to make new friends in the gym, improving your social life.

2. Overcome addictions

Living your life addicted to drugs or addicted to food will never help you overcome your challenges. You have to strengthen yourself by banishing drugs if you plan on achieving your best. Keep in mind that only thinking won’t help you quit drugs. You need an actionable strategy to get rid of drugs as soon as possible.

For example, vaping can help you overcome your smoking habits if you cannot quit smoking cold turkey. Vaping is proven to have Fewer side affects compared to smoking tobacco. Vaping gives you the sensation that you are smoking a cigarette, but vaping is way less harmful and doesn’t have the 4000 deadly chemicals found in cigarette smoke.

3. Adopt a rewarding hobby

Hobbies shape our personality and behavior. The better your hobbies, the easier it will be to stay alert and take the challenges head on in your life. You should try to develop good hobbies this year that can positively affect your life.

Here is a list of great hobbies:

  • Gardening
  • Cooking
  • Dancing
  • Painting
  • Writing
  • Handicraft
  • Drawing
  • Singing

The good thing about hobbies like these mentioned above is that you can turn them into a marketable skill once you get good at them.

4. Set actionable goals

Goals help us move forward in life. You will never want to do your best if you don’t set your sights on something you want to achieve.

To ensure that you keep moving in the positive direction, it’s time you set your goals for yourself this year.

Try to keep your goals simple at first. You will only feel bad about yourself if you set an unrealistic goal and fail to achieve it.

5. Get fulfilling sleep

Lack of sleep can harm your physical and mental health. According to studies, you should sleep around 6-7 hours every day to ensure that your body keeps functioning properly.

Avoid any activities that stop you from getting sleep at night. And avoid foods that disturb your sleep. Make your bedroom comfortable, so it gets easier to get plenty of rest. Try Yoga Nidra before going to bed as it can help you fall asleep easily.

Exercise in the evening can also have a positive effect on sleep. Don’t do exercise before going to bed as it can alert your mind and make it difficult to fall asleep.

6. Cut your screen time

Using a screen for too long is not good for your health. The blue rays coming out of displays disturb mental peace and make it hard to fall asleep. Other than that, constant exposure to social media can disturb the dopamine levels in the body.

Try not to spend all day long in front of the screens. If you have a daytime job and need to use a computer, you should make a proper schedule that helps you get your tasks done during work hours. Avoid using your phone or laptop in bed as it can also interfere with your sleep cycle.

7. Improve your communication skills

Proper communication can do wonders for you in life. You can go on to achieve any goal you set for yourself if you know how to introduce yourself to people and how to maintain good relations.
