Metabolae sells one thing. Its shop lists the softgel plus a recipe ebook and a shipping-protection add-on, and the softgel is the whole business. We went through Metabolae‘s product page, FAQ, refund policy, shipping policy and contact page to see what the brand commits to in writing, because a cinnamon supplement is an easy product to copy and a hard one to tell apart. Nothing was bought for this piece. Everything below comes from the brand’s own pages as they read on September 22, 2026.
It names the species
That sounds like a low bar, and in this category it isn’t met as often as it should be. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) points out that cinnamon products often don’t make clear which species, or which part of the plant, went into them, and that those differences change how a product affects people. Cassia, the most common cinnamon sold in North America, contains coumarin, and the amount varies from one product to the next. NCCIH flags coumarin as something that can trigger or aggravate liver trouble in sensitive people. Ceylon, which comes mostly from Sri Lanka, may contain just a trace.
Metabolae’s product page puts the Latin name in the ingredient block: Cinnamomum verum, harvested in Sri Lanka. For a shopper who’s been burned by a vague “cinnamon” label before, that one line does more than any badge on the page.
The dose and the carrier are spelled out
The softgel holds a liquid extract concentrated 12:1, and the company says each one is equivalent to 7,200 mg of raw Ceylon cinnamon. The extract is suspended in organic MCT oil. Metabolae’s reasoning is that cinnamon’s active compounds are fat-soluble, so an oil carrier helps the body absorb them, and that a softgel avoids the chalky powder capsules a lot of cinnamon products rely on. The directions are one softgel a day.
The species, the ratio and the carrier are disclosures a buyer can hold the brand to. The absorption argument is the company’s own explanation of why the format matters.
On health claims, the benefits list is written around helping maintain blood sugar that’s already in a healthy range, the page carries the standard FDA disclaimer, and the FAQ tells anyone on blood sugar medication or blood thinners to check with a doctor first.
What it says about testing
According to the product page, every batch goes to an independent lab and is verified free of coumarin, GMOs, gluten and artificial fillers. Another section says each batch is tested for purity and potency and made in the USA. We looked for the lab’s name or a certificate of analysis to download and didn’t find either one on the site. A brand that leans this hard on purity would close the question for a skeptical buyer by posting one, and we’d like to see it there.
Buying it
Recurring billing is the part of any supplement site we read twice. Here the buy box keeps the terms in plain view: right next to the add-to-cart button, the product page says refills ship every 30 days and that customers can stop or cancel anytime. The footer links straight to a “Manage My Subscription” page and a separate “Cancel or Change My Order” page. That second one has a tight clock on it, though: the refund policy says an order can only be cancelled within three hours of being placed.
The refund policy fills in the detail the buy box leaves out. Subscribers need to cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date, and the policy says missing that window isn’t grounds for a refund.
Orders are processed in one to two business days. The shipping policy then puts standard delivery at roughly 8 to 14 business days after dispatch, with tracking on every order. That’s a longer wait than a lot of online shoppers are used to.
The guarantee and its fine print
The product page describes a 90-day risk-free trial: anyone not completely satisfied in their first 90 days can return the order for a full refund, “no questions asked.” The refund policy is narrower. Unopened product can be sent back within 90 days. For opened product, the satisfaction guarantee requires at least 14 days of consistent use. It applies to the first order only and is limited to one refund per household. Subscribers are covered on their first shipment. Shipping fees aren’t refunded, and a return has to be requested through [email protected] before anything goes in the mail.
The product page and the policy don’t say the same thing here, and a refund request will be judged against the policy.
Support and where to buy
Support runs through [email protected]. The contact page says the team aims to reply within four hours during business hours and within six on evenings and weekends, and there’s a phone callback option from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. The product page also carries a blunt note that the softgels are only sold on the brand’s own site, along with a warning about fakes on Amazon and eBay. By the company’s own account, then, a bottle from a marketplace listing isn’t one of theirs.
So how does Metabolae set itself apart?
It sells a single product and is specific about it. The page names the species and where it’s grown, the 12:1 extract ratio, the 7,200 mg equivalent and the MCT oil carrier. That’s more than many cinnamon labels manage. The refill schedule and the cancel option sit next to the buy button, with a subscription page in the footer. The brand says every batch is independently tested, though it doesn’t publish the lab or the results. Its guarantee is real but narrower in the written policy than on the product page. And it sells only through its own site.
The short version
Someone ordering today gets one Ceylon softgel a day, with the species and dose printed where they can check it, and a refill every 30 days until they cancel at least 24 hours before billing. They get one shot at the satisfaction guarantee, on that first order. That’s the whole answer.
The good news is that Metabolae tells buyers more about what’s inside the softgel than cinnamon products usually do. The bad news is the gap between the guarantee on the product page and the one in the policy, plus a testing claim with no lab report behind it on the site. For someone who wants a Ceylon cinnamon supplement with the details on the page, it’s an easy one to shortlist.
