Have you decided that your next move in life is to become a personal trainer? PT’s are extremely important in the health industry, as they help people stay on track, providing them with the information that they need, and the motivation that they need to better their health.
But, you can’t do this if you don’t have the right qualifications and accreditations for a start. You need to complete all of your education before you’re going to be able to open a personal training business, but that’s where we can then come in to help. Down below, we’re going to be taking a look at how you can get started as a PT, so keep reading if you’d like to find out more.
The first thing that we’re going to look at is building a client base. Now, this is going to be quite tricky when you’re relatively unknown, so we recommend starting with friends, family members, and then eventually you can branch out to friends of friends and so on. The better results that you help people to get, and the more you can get them talking about you, the easier it’s going to be to take on clients.
Remember that this is a process – it’s not going to happen overnight. Just because you want it to, you will likely have periods where you’re really busy, and periods where you don’t manage to have all of your spaces booked up, but keep going.
Another thing that you’re going to need to do is work on your social media presence. Now, it’s true to say that you need to work on your social media presence to help you grow your client base also, but you need to do this because it helps to market you overall. It helps you to engage with people online, talking to them, and it begins to build trust in your brand.
Ideally, you should have a social media page on each platform dedicated to your personal training, posting progress photos of you, the people that you have helped, and informing them more about what it is that you do.
The final thing that we’re going to be looking at is getting the right software. There are many types of personal trainer software out there, and it’s down to you to do your own research and figure out which one is going to be best for you.
It all depends on what you want from it first and foremost. Think about what it is that you want, and then you can search for options that have these features, rather than being disappointed.
We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the things that you should be doing if you want to get started as a PT. We’re not saying that you’re going to see success straight away, but these are where you should be starting to help build yourself up.
