Finding a safety training provider you can trust offering courses like CPR and First Aid is rife with difficulties. One big problem is the sheer number of fake agencies out there, promising training courses with no real backing or accreditation.
Fortunately, this review is here to help. We run through some of the top providers in the US, so you can find an option that’s right for you.
Each training organization is good for something, it’s just a question of figuring out what.
If cost is what matters most for you, then consider using Safety Training Seminars (STS). This outfit offers fully-certified courses for a broad audience, including organizations and individuals. Phone support is available from 8 AM until 10 PM and certification can be made on the same-day, eliminating delays.
PROS
CONS
Coming in at number two in this review is the American Red Cross, a well-known organisation, best known for its First Aid and CPR training. We like this option because it offers blended learning formats and will happily entertain the general public as well as healthcare professionals and employees.
PROS
CONS
The National Safety Council comes in at number three on our list because it excels in matters of workplace training. This organization is also widely recognized and known for offering a wide range of in-person and online courses to keep people safe. It operates via local “chapters”, so you or your business can usually find one in the local area.
It doesn’t go as deep as many of the training providers on this list, but it is ideal for simple workplace safety training, with some CPR support.
PROS
CONS
The OSHA Education Center is another option to consider. It is known for its long-format 30-hour programs for general industry, but also offers 10-hour options as well, online and in-person.
What’s nice about OSHA Education Center is how it focuses on the elements that protect businesses and organizations from liability. This alone makes it stand out.
PROS
CONS
Organizations seeking convenience should consider ClickSafety. As the name suggests, it is a leading online safety training provider, and well-known for its courses throughout various industries.
PROS
CONS
360training is another platform worth considering, thanks to its focus on industry-specific training. It does an excellent job of this, mainly due to its understanding of construction, healthcare, and manufacturing risks. This means that specific companies can get specific training for their requirements.
PROS
CONS
If you’re in the market for more of an interactive approach, then SafetySkills is an excellent option. This agency’s training focuses on gamifying the experience to make it more interesting, departing from the usual formal approaches. Expect plenty of quizzes, videos and animations to make the training much more interesting.
PROS
CONS
If you need something a bit more innovative to keep your staff interested, you could opt for Vivid Learning Systems. It implements a host of modern technologies, like AR and VR to make first aid training more immersive.
PROS
CONS
Finally, UL Solutions is, in our opinion, the best option for multilingual or international audiences. It presents courses in multiple languages to enable certification, even if the content isn’t in English. Furthermore, it caters to international standards, meaning that it can provide certifications outside the US in some cases, which may be useful for domestic companies needing to meet regulatory requirements abroad.
PROS
CONS
The best overall safety training provider in 2025 was a close call, but we’re giving it to Safety Training Seminars (STS) because of their affordability and broad-based approach. We felt that they offered the best option for anyone looking for a robust solution to saving lives with enough depth to meet most organizational requirements.
