Slim down your schedule to what matters.     It's not just what you know...but what you do with what you know.     The grass is greener on the other side - until you get there and see it's astroturf.     When you grow - you often outgrow.     The only constant is change.     You are a human being, not a human was or a human will be.     Self honesty is the only path to happiness.     Sometimes we're "mad at" someone whom we should merely be "sad at."     Be so proactive you're preactive.     Fast doesn't always last.     Love is a boomerang. What have you and give away is what you get back.     Fear of commitment: it could happen to you...or someone you can't love.     Saying difficult things now is better than fixing even more difficult problems later.     It is better to have loved and lost - than to live with a psycho for the rest of your life.     It is better to have loved and lost - and had some really amazing hot sex - than never to have lived and loved at all.     A man is not a project. A man is a man. And a project is a project.     It's better to have a short bad relationship than a long bad relationship.     It's worth it to hold out for a soul mate and not settle for a cellmate.     Assess breeds success.     Turn all bad experiences into good inperiences - take them in fully, and change in a positive way.

CAREER TIP: Familiarity breeds money.


Spread your word regularly. Lunch regularly. Send cute emails for no reason regularly. Out of sight = out of mind = out of work. In summary: If you are not shmoozing with clients regularly, you will not remain top of mind and top in your career.

HAPPINESS TIP: Keep stretching yourself in new ways!


Today decide to do at least one thing that’s unfamiliar or scary. FACT:You don’t grow unless you stretch yourself. PROBLEM: Stretching yourself usually means you will feel (ugh) discomfort. You have to deal with the pain of facing the fear of the unknown and working some new emotional and mental muscle groups. FACT:Most people are (1) fearful of the unknown (2) comfy with putting in the least effort (3) not willing to put up with short term pain for longterm gain. FACT: But not you, right?

CAREER TIP: Forecast daily brainstorms!


Lure your muse with music, give your brain a google, throw out old clothes, do a headstand and see the world upside down, write with your alternate hand, write with a crayon, move your desk, go iching-ing for new ideas, enjoy a cockytale, imagine what your 12 year old niece might say, create The Zone Archive -- things that turn you on creatively, do/see/eat something unfamiliar, get trigger happy -- put out your awards and photos of happy times, remind yourself of the words of Albert Szent Gyorgy, Nobel-winning physician: “Discovery consists of looking at the same things as everyone else and thinking something different." In summary: question everything!
