Pets help to lower peeve.

The Delta Society has performed numerous research studies on how owning animals influences human well-being.
Here’s some of their report:
Pet owners have better psychological well-being.
Pet owners have lower blood pressure.
Pet owners report less feelings of loneliness.
A child's self-esteem is enhanced by owning a pet.
And that’s just a brief sampling of the treats a pet will bring you.
Considering all the multitudinous perks, a dog is more than man’s best friend—a dog is a man’s best therapist.

ADORABLE!!!! What a face!!! Being the germophobe I am, it wouldn't work to bring one home... but I would love to borrow him!
I own a yorkshire terrier and I just love my dog. I don't know what I would without him. He has gotten me through many a relationships with jerks. When I was home lonely he was always there to keep my company and provide me with the feeling of having someone who loved me.
