SOME HAPPY NEWS ABOUT HAPPINESS

Optimism is something you can self-learn!
Yes, according to the happy people at THE HAPPINESS PROJECT IN OXFORD, "Studies show that our genetic inheritance towards something like optimism or happiness is about 50%. So with the remaining 50% you're able to make choices. You are actually able to learn how to look at things differently."
The folks at the happiness project teach clients how to look for patterns of negative attitudes, and then how to create options for themselves to look at formulating more positive beliefs.
Happily you don't have to go all the way to Oxford to figure out your negative thought system.
You can decide today to become more aware of negative beliefs -- then swap them for positive beliefs -- then swap them for positive belief antidotes.
For example: "All relationships are unhappy! Love doesn't exist!" can be swapped for "With good communication loving relationships exist! And I'm gonna snag me a good relationship by becoming a better communicator!"
Soon you'll notice that when you empty out your mind of negative thoughts, your glass of life looks (ironically) more full than ever!

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more. As I noted over at my (Mary's) blog "Happiness is a choice" (barring severe mental imbalance and such, of course) - so glad to see Oxford agrees with me.
